Lauenburg.de gets a modern makeover

The city of Lauenburg decided to completely redesign its website with the aim of meeting the expectations of both the administration and the citizens. The focus was on mobile optimization and ease of use – both for users and for the city's editors. A well-thought-out rights management system ensures efficient communication between the city and its citizens in all areas of administration and life.

Municipal digital strategy with the participation of the administration

The craft unit team (which was still operating under a different name when lauenburg.de was launched) developed the new web concept based on its many years of experience with the previous website. Particular emphasis was placed on the active participation of various administrative departments and local stakeholders.

Craft CMS at the heart of the new platform

The new city portal is based on the powerful Craft CMS. It offers an intuitive interface and, above all, minimal training requirements, which is very important given the large number of city editors. Content maintenance is reduced to a minimum thanks to time-saving and easy operation, much to the delight of the administrative team. The portal is supplemented by separate web offshoots for the Lütau office and the municipality of Basedow – as independent, integrated sites within the Lauenburg page.
